The FaktenSammler podcast addresses bioeconomy issues from very different perspectives, looking at both opportunities and challenges: How can a good standard of living be ensured in the future despite a growing world population, dwindling resources and the consequences of climate change? What answers does research provide today? Where are ideas of sustainable management already being put into practice? Which social preconditions are necessary for the bioeconomy to develop into a sustainable form of economy? In conversation with researchers from various disciplines and actors from business and society, the "FaktenSammler" presents exciting bioeconomy facts and invites listeners to submit concrete topics for upcoming episodes themselves.

The project is implemented by the University Communications team of the University of Greifswald and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the Wissenschaftsjahrs 2020/21 – Bioökonomie . The ”Wissenschaftsjahr” is a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD).
