You are not required to use one of these services to get in contact with us or to receive our information. Generally, the information that we publish using these online services can be found in the same or similar form on the University of Greifswald’s website.
Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts, to reduce the server load and thus in favour of a lower loading time. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers, in particular recognisability within the framework of our corporate identity. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
The use of Google Web Fonts is not monitored. No cookies are sent from website visitors to the Google Fonts API. Requests to the Google Fonts API are sent to resource-specific domains such as fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com. These do not contain sensitive information and are transmitted separately from information you submit to Google when using services such as Gmail. If your browser does not support web fonts, a default font from your computer will be used. For more information on Google Web Fonts, please visit https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and read Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

You also have the right to receive information upon request and free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, the purpose, and the length of data processing. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, you have the right to the correction, limitation of the processing (e.g. block), deletion, and the data portability of your data. You have the right to object to direct marketing and the processing of your data, which is regulated by Art. 6(1) lit. e and f GDPR. If you would like to exercise your right to object to the processing of your personal data, we ask you to inform us of the reasons that apply to your particular situation so that we can perform an investigation into the balance of interests in accordance with Art. 21(1) sentence 2 GDPR.
