Dialog Plant³
DialogPlant³ supports the societal transformation towards a plant-based bioeconomy through research and development activities that aim at a holistic dialogue process involving relevant stakeholders and civil society. New methods are researched, developed and tested in order to open up different perspectives in the field of bioeconomy, which are significant for the bio-based structural change in north-eastern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
DialogPlant³ focuses on two aspects: the analysis of bioeconomy discourses and the implementation of a citizen science project. The first sub-project focuses on the systematic recording of discourses on the bioeconomy in order to work out motivations, (coalitions of) interests and lines of conflict in the regional context and to make them useful for the Plant³ alliance. The second sub-project "Citizen Science Bioeconomy! M-V" researches, develops and tests new forms of citizen participation. The aim is for citizens to support the Plant³ Alliance and strengthen the bio-based structural change in north-eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The holistic, participatory approach of DialogPlant³ provides important added value for the Plant³ Alliance. The development and combination of different perspectives generates new ideas and at the same time strengthens the legitimacy for the regional, bio-based structural change. This creates a region-specific "story line" that serves to make north-eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania known as a business and innovation location with a focus on the bioeconomy.
Based at the Chair of Human Geography the project "DialogPlant³" is led by Chair Prof. Dr. Christine Tamásy and Dr. Oliver Klein.
